Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the maiden major honor of his illustrious career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
