Brinkman assumes the role of studio head at 31st Union following the departure of former leader Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's underwhelming initial reveal last fall.
On Wednesday, the company's top executive a key figure notified staff about this decision through an official communication, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had revealed the necessity for a more defined direction.
Ismailer noted that the developers is now reimagining Project Ethos with a refreshed vision, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
This announcement follows a comparable step taken by the publisher in August, when they recruited Rod Fergusson from the Diablo team to contribute to the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.

The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve advanced. You accepted the feedback to heart and reimagined Project ETHOS with a revitalized goal - one that’s positioned to achieve its ambition to our fans.
Our confidence in this project increases every day. To boost the outstanding development you’ve made, It is a pleasure to announce the new hire as the latest Studio Head of the team. After several months of conversations, Ben starts with us on Monday, October 20.
